Hi! I'm Hannah, Chief Yoga Officer and instructor. I began practicing yoga regularly at Inversion Yoga in Jackson,WY. There, I took my first teacher training. At the time, I was struggling. I was heartbroken and confused and yoga taught not only how to feel, but that it was ok to feel, and how to move through whatever comes up.  It changed my life! Several years later, my husband, James and I moved to Montgomery, I began teaching yoga at several places in town. My dream was to open a yoga studio of my own. When everything aligned to make that happened, I took a leap, and here we are. It is a dream that's become my reality to take classes from these awesome instructors you'll read about here, and to teach what I love to all of you. I love yoga, and I love the community we are building here! I hope to see you in a class soon!

"I first experienced yoga as a cool down exercise after ice hockey practices and games in Upstate New York. However, when I moved to Montgomery, AL and began practicing yoga regularly, I saw how much more there is to yoga and all it has to offer for the mind, body, and soul! The combination of strength, grace, and peace she feels through the asanas continue to both soothe and challenge me. This love and desire to learn more led me to complete my first yoga teaching training right here at Bandaloop in January 2021! I look forward to teaching and practicing yoga with all of you. "

RANIA

Rania is a Greek, Cypriot from Nicosia, Cyprus. She is a professional ballet dancer and a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher under the Yoga Alliance. She has been teaching yoga for many years now and has taught students of all ages and levels at various settings such as yoga studios, fitness clubs, outdoors, online, privates, on-site at corporate offices and the U.S. military.  Having lived in six different states in the last 10 years , Rania has been exposed to various yoga styles. This exposure as well as her experience in dance have contributed to the development  of her own unique style of teaching. Correct alignment to prevent injuries and various techniques leading to a healthy, longer and leaner physique are her focus. In 2011,  Rania co-founded Long Body Yoga, a website through which she has taught live online yoga classes and created an Intermediate level DVD. Jodie Knox Moody began her fitness career in 1989 when she moved to Montgomery to attend college. Her first certification was AFAA Group Ex which she used to teach aerobics, weight training, spinning, and step. In 1997 she got her first Pilates Mat certification which became her passion and she went on to complete the 500 hour teacher training required to be able to teach on the equipment. In 2010 she added barre to her repertoire as well as TRX, Zumba and Pound. When not teaching she enjoys frisbee, tennis, hiking, and spending time with her son Knox and dog Chico Puerto Rico.

Ginny fell in love with the energy and challenge of power yoga two years ago and has been practicing full speed ahead ever since. After six months of yoga, she decided to dive in deeper and started teacher training with YogaFit. Her enthusiasm, energy and strength on the mat is contagious and she will challenge you to reach your full potential. She loves music and dance so her vinyasa is spicy and her class playlist will keep you rockin! Ginny's Power Yoga class will include strength training as well as a dynamic and invigorating vinyasa flow to build endurance, flexibility, balance and strength. Join Ginny on the mat!

David is a yogi extraordinaire! Although born to military parents, he has been a Montgomery native, or Son of Rosa (Parks), from the age of 6. He's been into athletics his whole life: basketball, tae kwon do (brown belt), trac and field ( Junior Olympics in 2003) and from age 14, a frequent gym rat. Along with the active side of athletics, he graduated from Troy University (Troy, AL) majoring in Sports & Fitness Management with a minor in Business Administration. Towards the end of 2018, he and God had a conversation as to what he should be doing with his waking time here on earth, and he decided to finally become certified in yoga, seeing that he may could bring something unique to the yoga world and his community.

Megan first approached yoga as a workout (in fact, her first yoga experience was a P90X video). She eventually found her way to a studio and began to discover all that yoga had to offer. During a particularly busy and stressful season of life, Megan found refuge, stability, and healing through her yoga practice. She completed her 200hr teacher training at Yogafly in Auburn and is excited to now be a part of the Montgomery yoga community. When she’s not on her mat, Megan can be found wrangling her 2 daughters or caffeinating the city at Prevail Union, the coffee company she co-founded. Join Megan for her popular Hot Vinyasa 1 class or Centering Flow.

Born and raised in Montgomery, AL, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share yoga with my hometown. It is an honor and a privilege to bring positivity and light to this city that is so special to me. I am elated to be an instructor at Bandaloop Yoga, and I am excited to continue to progress both as a yoga instructor and student.
